Besides making paper goods, I’ve always wanted to see my designs on fabric–specifically tea towels. And since doing dozens of fruit and vegetable patterns through my livestreams, I felt like this would be a great opportunity to design some patterns appropriate for print.
Here are the four tea towel designs I’m offering and how you can get your hands on them!
The Inspiration
The inspiration behind these designs definitely stem from my love for painting. But they also hint at incorporating something into your kitchen to brighten it up. I’ll admit that I’m not the most comfortable in the kitchen. I don’t enjoy cooking all that much. But having something bright and cheery like a tea towel makes being in a kitchen more enjoyable. Not to mention it shows off your personality, your love for food, etc.
The French Press Tea Towel
This illustration has been in my archives for several years. It is one of my few digital illustrations that I first did on the Procreate app on the iPad Pro. I took a Skillshare class on it and fell in love with it immediately. I love the rough textures and the warm colors. The illustrations aren’t perfect and they show off a little bit of personality. What a great gift idea for the coffee lover in your life!
The Fruit & Vegetable Medley Tea Towel
This design is what happens when you can’t choose a favorite fruit or vegetable and decide to combine them all! I took a single illustration from almost all of my livestreams and placed them on this tea towel. I love how many different colors there are. This is also a great tool to have your kids guessing and learning about different fruits and vegetables.
The Autumn Mushrooms Tea Towel
The mushrooms was one of my favorite patterns I did during my livestreams. And I knew that I had to turn it into an actual pattern. Maybe it’s the way the mushrooms are slightly curved, or maybe it’s the color harmony. Or how the leaves perfectly fill in the white space and keep your eyes moving. Even if it’s not the autumn season, I think this tea towel is perfect for any kitchen!
The Lemony Fresh Tea Towel
Finally, the lemony fresh tea towel. Lemons are so great to have in your kitchen. They’re great for adding to your water. Perfect for adding to your cooking. I also cut up lemons and use them to freshen up my garbage disposal. There are so many uses for them! Why not brighten up your kitchen with lemons that you don’t have to throw away?
